Independent technical due diligence is essential for technological investments or acquisitions. It is understandable that entrepreneurs like to present their plans in the best light with ambitious expectations about opportunities and lead times. Thanks to my experience and technical insight, I can realistically place these promises and translate them into clear, non-technical language, so that you know exactly where you stand.

With more than thirty years of experience as a technical entrepreneur and innovator, and as a sparring partner for investors in my own companies, I understand both the technical and business side of the process. Clients appreciate my ability to quickly get to the heart of the matter, expose blind spots and test technical claims against practice. My pragmatic and independent analyses bring risks, opportunities and feasibility into sharp focus without thick reports full of assumptions.

I offer two options for technical due diligence. The first is a quick scan: after analyzing information sent in advance, I will accompany you to the company for one day. I will look at the technology, ask targeted questions on site and test assumptions. At the end of the day, I will provide clear, verbal feedback. Costs: €1,000 excluding VAT.

The second option is full support throughout the entire investment or acquisition process, from introduction to decision-making. I research competitors and technical alternatives and provide a patent search to gain insight into all opportunities and risks. The costs are usually around 1% of the amount to be invested with a minimum of €5k, regardless of whether you ultimately decide to invest or acquire.
